How I Healed Myself of an "Incurable" Condition
Hello, and welcome to my personal website that I have dedicated to one of the most awesome healing techniques in the world: acupuncture.
My name is Curtis, and I decided to build this website from scratch after realizing for myself just how profound and life-transforming the effects of acupuncture and other holistic medicine approaches can be.
Two years ago, I was introduced to the concepts behind Acupuncture after looking up something like "alternative cures for lactose intolerance" online. I was searching particularly for that because I was lactose intolerant, and I was sick of it.
I think most people know what lactose intolerance is, but if you aren't lactose intolerant yourself - you can't really understand (unless you have a similar health condition).
When you are lactose intolerant, you cannot eat anything you want. In fact, you can hardly eat anything at all - no dairy allowed, and for me that was crippling. Can you guess what that meant for me? Me, a teenage boy in high school, unable to eat cheeseburgers, unable to touch ice cream, not able to drink milk with cereal for breakfast, and unable to come anywhere close to nachos and cheese or most Mexican food.
Yes, it's safe to say that being lactose intolerant was terrible.
I am thankful every day that because of the energy therapy I applied to myself, I am no longer lactose intolerant.
Does that sound amazing?
Well, maybe it doesn't sound amazing if you aren't lactose intolerant yourself, but to anyone who is and cannot eat cheese or drink milk or eat ice cream or anything of that nature, it will sound pretty fantastic and unbelievable.
It is especially unbelievable that I was ever cured of lactose intolerance, because according to modern medicine, there is no cure for lactose intolerance.
That is what you will hear from any doctor, any expert, and any 'specialist' out there.
Oh sure, there are pills and medication and temporary treatments for lactose intolerance. I tried those, and some of them did help - especially the pills that I had to take about four times a day to be able to drink any milk at all.
But none of them produced lasting, permanent results. Figuring out what to eat every day was still an awful and time-consuming experience.
But then one day, things began to change.
I read a story online about how someone was cured of lactose intolerance - I was definitely interested. I was sick of getting sick.
I investigated further and discovered that the person who had been cured had done so by using holistic energy therapy in the form of something called acupressure.
I had heard of holistic medicine before, and even of acupuncture, but not of acupressure. So I read on.
I read that acupressure and acupuncture deal with changing the flow of energy within us. That the techniques in those practices could balance out our meridian energy system, and could lead to emotional and even physical healings of a profound nature.
I was skeptical, but interested. If there was any way I could be cured of lactose intolerance and finally be relieved of my daily aches and pains, I wanted to know.
After weeks of reading about acupressure, different techniques, acupuncture, needles, methods of treatment, traditional Chinese medicine, holistic medicine, energy therapy, Reiki, and everything else under the sun, I decided that I was going to take action.
I decided that instead of just reading, I was going to apply the techniques to myself.
Since I was just a teenager in high school at the time, jobless and short on cash, I couldn't exactly afford to treat myself to the professional acupuncture treatments that are available today.
Instead, I decided that my first experiments with holistic energy medicine would be with acupressure. And amazingly, my first experiments produced profound results.
I began utilizing my own personal meridian energy system for my personal benefit - I had read that by just tapping with my fingers on certain meridian acupuncture points around my body, I could stimulate the energy pathways in a similar way that occurs when you get needle therapy in actual acupuncture.
After a few weeks of specifically tapping on certain key meridian points, the self-treatment began to work. I began to have less and less severe symptoms of lactose intolerance, such as mild stomach aches and indigestion instead of nausea and vomiting.
Within a few weeks after starting my unprofessional self-acupressure treatments,
I was cured of lactose intolerance.
It was amazing - I could eat anything and everything I wanted without getting sick. In fact it was a little too amazing, and while I was indulging in ice cream and nachos and cheeseburgers, I silently worried that my cure had not been permanent.
I wondered if the meridian energy treatments would last forever, or if my lactose intolerance - and all my stomach pains - would be coming back.
Thankfully, it has been almost three years since the time that I cured myself of lactose intolerance, and none of the symptoms of lactose intolerance have re-appeared since then. No more stomach pains, no more aches, no more nausea and vomiting.
So why am I writing about this all here?
Why did I make this website?
Because I was inspired by the profound healing that occurred through the use of these holistic medicines, and I want to take all of the information and capability for healing that I have learned and give it to you.
I wanted to create the very best online resource related to acupuncture, and give it to you all for free.
I want to be able to help as many people as possible overcome their physical or emotional struggles with the great and amazing tools that both acupressure and acupuncture provide.
But why Acu-puncture?
While I did use acupressure to cure myself of lactose intolerance, it is really acupuncture that deserves all the credit.
The original art of piercing needles into one's acupuncture and meridian points has only recently been developing into the art of acupressure - using one's fingertips to 'tap' the points instead.
But when one compares the two they really are one in the same. They both involve manipulating one's personal energy in order to bring about healing.
And finally, in short, acupuncture just has more to write about! It has a history of thousands of years throughout nearly all of Europe and Asia, and today it is becoming more and more popular in America and other Western countries as well.
More and more people seem to be opening up to the idea that maybe just because someone with the letters "Dr." in front of their name says that something can't be healed, that isn't a good reason to lose all hope.
And in reality, the two techniques are both sisters of each other. One uses needles, the other uses fingertips. If you opt to go for the needles, the biggest benefit is that you don't have to be the professional.
You just leave all the work to the trained practitioner.
Likewise, if you decide to use your fingertips, sometimes many issues will be hit-or-miss because of the great variety of personal choice for techniques and approaches to different problems. Sometimes the amount of dedication that is involved in tapping away all your energy imbalances can seem overwhelming.
I originally chose acupressure when deciding how I wanted to approach my lactose intolerance.
I still usually stick to acupressure to resolve pain, soreness, and physical issues like stomach aches, but it is just a personal preference.
I have since discovered that acupuncture is just as effective, and you can leave all the work to the skilled pracitioner.
What you choose is your personal decision.
If you have never worked with energy therapies before, perhaps you should leave the work to a trained practitioner.
And while there are acupressure practitioners in the world, there are many less than the number of acupuncture practitioners, so the cost for treatment is generally a bit higher than for the traditional needle treatments.
So, the choice is yours. And while most of my online content focuses on needle treatments, you can just as effectively substitute the fingertip treatments for any and all conditions that you find on this website.
In reality, both methods are just two ways of addressing the same problem: disruptions and imbalances in your personal energy meridian system.
Whew!
I originally didn't intend for my About Me topic to be so... selfish! Just kidding.
If you have read this far, I sincerely hope that you will explore and utilize all of the free resources that this website has to offer.
Feel free to go to the Introduction to Acupuncture page if you want an overview of things, or if you already are familiar with energy therapy and holistic medicine, you can jump right into any topic you are interested in on the side bar.
Thanks for reading, and enjoy!
