Ear Acupuncture

Ear acupuncture is also commonly referred to as auricular therapy.

It is based on an ancient form of Traditional Chinese Medicine, which is where all acupuncture has its' roots.

Ear acupuncture has shown extremely positive results in treating a variety of illnesses, injuries, and symptoms.

Some of these include obesity, chronic pain, mood disorders, addictions, as well as stress related health issues.

Ear Acupuncture and Regular Acupuncture

Ear acupuncture is commonly used in conjunction with a regular acupuncture treatment.

In addition to using regular acupuncture meridians throughout the body, the acupuncturist may also use some meridian points located on the ear to assist in treatment.

Acupuncture points on the ears are thought to regulate the body's internal organs, structures, and functions, as well as release endorphins (natural chemicals within the body that reduce pain and produce a general sense of well being).

Why Get Ear Acupuncture?

Ear acupuncture has proven itself to be a safe and highly effective way to treat stiff joints and chronic pain.

Many patients report feeling relief from their symptoms in minutes, although a full course of ear acupuncture treatment will no doubt take longer than that.

Ear acupuncture is described as being more painful than regular body acupuncture, and it has been said that the more painful it is, the greater the end results have been.

Traditional Chinese Medicine and Ear Acupuncture

Traditional Chinese Medicine maintains the belief that the ear is a tiny microcosm of the entire human body!

This means that as more research is done on ear acupuncture, it may prove that any ailment in the human body can be successfully treated through locating and needling the appropriate spot in the ear.

Ear acupuncture is only about 50 years old, but in the last few decades it has grown in popularity and acceptance, and has proven to have a high number of benefits and a large success rate during and after treatment.
